What’s the Difference Between Online & Offline Group Bookings?

 1. Online Group Bookings

Our Online Group Booking service allows you to receive bookings for groups of 9 up to a maximum number of your choice.

The booking and payment process will stay the same as your current Hostelworld.com reservations; We take a deposit and the remaining balance is paid to you on arrival. This means that everything will stay quick and easy, but you’ll receive Confirmed Group Bookings Online!

If you want to accept Online Group Bookings, simply fill in the groups criteria section in your Inbox. You can find this by heading to: Property Setup  Groups

Please note: All fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled in before it can be enabled.

 

2. Offline Group Bookings

Our Offline Group Booking Department cater to groups of 15 or more with tailor-made requests. They receive 35,000 group booking requests per year and growing, with 70% of these requests from educational groups.

The specialist advisers work directly with the group leader to confirm their details, requirements and everything in between, before sending the Group Booking Request.

Once you confirm our details and agree to hold the beds for up to 7 days, we’ll send a final offer to the group and voila, it’s that easy!

2.1 Payment Policy

Our payment process for Offline Group Bookings is different to your current Hostelworld.com reservations. We collect all balances payable to you 28 days before the scheduled arrival date and transfer it to you 1-2 weeks prior to the group’s scheduled arrival date. Please double-check that we have your current bank details.

 

2.2 Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 28 days before arrival (local time).

 

2.3 Amendments

  • Before the 28 Day Cancellation Deadline

Hostelworld handle any amendments and/or cancellations that groups request before the 28-day cancellation deadline. We recalculate the change in costs and ask the group to pay before the cancellation deadline to confirm. The new amount will be transferred to you 1-2 weeks before the group’s scheduled arrival date.

  • After the 28-Day Cancellation Deadline

 After the 28-day cancellation deadline Hostelworld will no longer handle any amendment or cancellation requests.  They should be handled directly between the guests and yourselves (your T&C’s will apply).  We’ll send the original payment as agreed before the cancellation deadline.
