Guest didn’t stay but leaves a review


Previously Hostelworld would have advised customers that if they didn’t stay we wouldn’t publish a review. However we know that sometimes the reason guests don’t stay is because they are not happy with the quality of the accommodation, and their review reflects this.

We will also publish reviews of guests who are advised that they cannot stay due to an overbooking or their booking being cancelled in advance of arrival. In these cases the customer has a right to their feedback and the hostel can reply publicly to the review.
